Elsewhere
Setting up Elsewhere.
About four minutes, most of which is your iPhone installing an app. You need it plugged into a computer for this part only.
1. Install Elsewhere on your computer
Download it from the download page and open it. On a Mac, drag it to Applications first.
2. Enter your licence key
It's in the email you got when you bought, and on your account page. You enter it once per computer.
3. Switch on Developer Mode
On the iPhone: Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Developer Mode, switch it on, and let the phone restart. This is Apple's own toggle — it exists so people can run their own apps, and Elsewhere needs it for the same reason.
4. Plug in and click Set Up iPhone
Elsewhere signs the phone app with your own free Apple ID and installs it. You'll be asked for your Apple ID because Apple requires it to sign an app this way — it goes from your computer straight to Apple, and never to us.
Afterwards, trust the app on the phone under Settings ▸ General ▸ VPN & Device Management.
5. Install LocalDevVPN and switch it on
It's free on the App Store. Elsewhere uses it to reach your iPhone's own developer service; nothing is proxied anywhere and your traffic doesn't leave the phone.
6. Unplug
Open Elsewhere on the iPhone, pick a place, tap Spoof. The computer's job is done.
Troubleshooting
Elsewhere shows five errors and no others. Each one names the thing to fix.

The spoof stopped after about thirty seconds
Elsewhere was force-quit. iOS ends the simulated location shortly after the app that set it stops running. Leave it open in the background — the lock screen and other apps are fine.
The app disappeared after a week
Apps signed with a free Apple ID expire after seven days. Elsewhere renews itself; if it can't, open it on your computer with the phone on the same network and it will re-sign.
